Master the techniques of writing superior and winning proposals
This intensive three-day grant proposal workshop is geared for: 1) those who wish to strengthen their grant writing skills and 2) beginners who wish to acquire and master the techniques of preparing, writing and winning proposals from various funding agencies. The center of attention will be on how to effectively write proposals in times of keen competition and limited resources. Much has happened in new regulations and in approaches to grant writing, be it for the researcher in the sciences and social sciences, education and non-profit professionals.

Space is limited, and since this class fills-up quickly, it is on a first-come, first-serve basis.*
Workshop Fee: $595.00 (including tuition, materials, certificate of completion, and continental breakfast)
Rebate of $50.00 per person is given for two or more registrants from the same organization

Indiana Dads Expo "Celebrating Dads, Promoting Fatherhood"
Martin University, 2171 N. Avondale Place, Indianapolis, IN

The 20+ not for profit organizations supporting the 2012 Indiana Dads Expo are working to increase Dads involvement in the lives of their children.

Terrific workshops, fun play area for kids run by the YMCA, lunch, and engaging keynote speakers!

Who should attend: While the event is aimed at men, women are welcome. In addition, you do not have to be a Dad – grandparents, uncles, older brothers, or even those who just want to learn more about being a Dad are welcome.

$15 pre-sale, $20 at the door.
Admission is $15 per family prior to the event, and $20 the day of the event. Dads with proof of free and reduced lunch status automatically get a 50% scholarship.
Registration is required for all attendees.

Bully Prevention: Creating a Culture of Acceptance

Children's Resource Group (CRG).

Picture This Players - Local interactive theatre group from Community Health Network that will engage the audience in understanding and emotionally relating to the experience of bullying.

KEYNOTE: Nancy Willard, M.S., J.D.  - Director of the Center for Safe and Responsible Internet Use.  She has degrees in special education and law, taught “at risk” children, practiced computer law and was an educational technology consultant before focusing her professional attention on issues of youth risk online and management of student internet use.  (See attached information on N. Willard).

Local high school students who have voluntarily filled out a questionnaire from Nancy Willard will be on to discuss their experiences with cyber bullying, led by Nancy Willard, who will additionally review the information gathered from the questionnaires.

Christopher Eaves - Performance employing corporeal mime, text, sound and video coverage to educate and emotionally involve the audience around the issues of bullying.

Also: Joshua Lowinsky, M.D. – Psychiatric Issues and Bullying, Tonya Foreman, M.D. – Bullying and the Issues Facing LGBT Youth, Andy Brothers, Ph.D. – The Social and Emotional Impact of Bullying on Our Youth.

In addition to all of this, we are planning a culminating celebration that evening, spotlighting not only the artist from NYC, but also a number of our own children from groups such as Junior Civic, Asante Children's Theater, the Indianapolis Children's Choir,  among others.   The themes of acceptance, tolerance, inclusion, respect, etc.
