Arts for Learning is the premier provider of arts education programs for youth in Indiana, utilizing a deep roster of teaching artists to facilitate workshops imbued with Arts Integration, Social Emotional Learning, and Anti-Racism. We bring this same methodology to organizational consulting and training for youth serving organization staff where we sing, dance, and paint toward equity together.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
Primary Services: Assessment; Organizational Knowledge;
Secondary Services: Strategy & Policy; Workplace Programs

We understand that Access, Belonging, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (ABIDE) are each essential elements of an ongoing process to move our culture toward justice and liberation. To ABIDE by these elements means we live with them without relenting, holding them as ideals and guideposts in every part of what we do.

ABIDE Services presently provided are delivered through both discussion and collective art-making. Topics include but are not limited to: 1) utilizing free tools for equitable organizational change; 2) organizational equity assessment and policy; 3) “Beginner and Intermediate Spanish Language Instruction;” 4) facilitated discussion on conflict transformation, collective agreements and ways of working; 5) establishing systems and goals for sustainable growth in ABIDE; and 6) consulting in creating safe and brave spaces for queer students and youth workers.

Trauma-Informed Workplaces
Primary Services: Organizational Knowledge; Workplace Programs

We also hold the truth that youth work is often traumatic. Folks who choose to prioritize the well-being of young people are often fighting multiple systemic barriers to achieve this mission. Thankfully, art, music, dance, and theater can help. Making art is a means to heal from trauma for youth workers and for the youth that they care for. Youth workers deserve social and emotional wellness, and they cannot be here for the kids unless they are first here for themselves and each other.
