Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belong (DEIB) training include the following:
Understanding Racism
This training allows participants an opportunity to connect and candidly share how recent events have impacted them personally, professionally, and spiritually. It gives everyone an opportunity to share their personal experiences with racism and bias. We’ll take this courageous journey together through creating space for each other by listening, learning, understanding and resonating with each other. Overall, this powerful exchange helps to frame and personalize your training. In addition, we will discuss terms and definitions and unpack the many systems of oppression.
Examining Bias
This training is designed to increase awareness about implicit bias by examining our own behaviors and motivations. We will discuss what implicit bias is, why it matters, the consequences of implicit bias, how it can negatively impact those that you serve and what we can do to disrupt and reduce it. In addition, we will discuss and examine White Privilege, White Fragility, White Supremacy, Racism, Anti-Blackness, Intersectionality, Generational and Racial Trauma, Mental Health, Allyship and being an Anti-Racist. Recommended for anyone willing to examine their own connectedness to bias and how it impacts them personally, professionally and volunteering. This training is especially necessary for those working and living alongside diverse populations who desire to understand their bias and move forward the work related to more cultural understanding.
Workplace Bullying
This training is designed to increase awareness about workplace bullying and why they call it the silent epidemic. Sadly, workplace bullying is a common experience and many people suffer in silence every single day.
At the end of this training you will be able to define what workplace bullying is and what it’s not, know what workplace bullying might look like, understand the difference between teasing/joking vs bullying, understand the cost of bullying to people and organizations, understand the psychological effects of bullying, know ways to prevent bullying and how to support someone that is being bullied. Most importantly, how to protect yourself from bullying behavior and your overall mental and physical health.
