Kevin Enders
Director of Social and Emotional Health

Kevin serves as the Director of Social & Emotional Health for Indiana Youth Institute. He leads a federal grant initiative that focuses on educating mentors on trauma-informed and social-emotional health practices to prevent and intervene in the impact of youth substance use. 

Previously, Kevin worked with IYI’s Statewide Engagement team as Director of Statewide Engagement. With 20 years of experience in the youth services field, including the past seven years at IYI, Kevin’s career spans nonprofit, education, and government sectors. He has a track record of championing initiatives that have a positive impact on young lives, demonstrating unwavering dedication to improving youth well-being. 

Before joining IYI, Kevin directed out-of-school time and community programming, taught at the elementary and middle school levels, and coached youth sports. He holds a master’s degree in organizational psychology and a bachelor’s degree in education, and he is a continuous learner who is always enthusiastic about discussing books and podcasts. 

In addition to his professional pursuits, Kevin is a devoted husband and thoroughly enjoys being a father to three boys. He finds joy in running, playing music, learning, and teaching.
