2025 State of the Child to Share Latest Well-Being Data of Hoosier Youth on ‘Day of the Child’
Indiana Youth Institute hosting Indiana Statehouse Event on February 17 to Highlight Key Findings from the Indiana Youth Institute’s 2025 KIDS COUNT® Data Book, Addressing Issues Impacting Hoosier Youth
INDIANAPOLIS (February 17, 2025) – State, federal, local leaders and youth service providers will gather on Monday, February 17, 2025, at the Indiana Statehouse to learn how Indiana children are doing across the areas of family & community, health, economic well-being, and education. There will be an emphasis on data disaggregation, disparities, and data-informed solutions for some of the most pressing issues facing Hoosier kids.
The State of the Child kickoff is hosted by Indiana Youth Institute (IYI) in partnership with the Commission on Improving the Status of Children in Indiana.
What: 2025 Indiana State of the Child presentation and Data Walk
When: Monday, February 17, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.; coffee at 9:30 a.m.

Monday’s event kicks off IYI’s statewide State of the Child campaign, which includes more than a dozen in-person and virtual events this February through April to share the 2025 Indiana KIDS COUNT® Data Book. A schedule of events can be found at iyi.org.
Indiana Youth Institute’s (IYI) State of the Child is based on 2025 Indiana KIDS COUNT® Data Book, part of the national KIDS COUNT® Network supported by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. The 31st annual book presents the latest data on the well-being of Indiana’s children and youth. This year’s Indiana KIDS COUNT® Data Book will be released on February 17, 2025.
