Importance of Child Exercise
Active kids are healthy kids!
Children who have greater access to recreation centers, parks, and trails tend to get more exercise. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends kids get at least an hour of physical activity a day.
You can ensure all kids can enjoy the outdoors and improve their health. Contact your local park board to find ways to get involved, talk to your city and county officials about opportunities to create or improve public amenities, and get outside and moving with your kids!
