No Longer Hidden

Summary

Uncertain sleeping arrangements, chronic stress, and lack of access to healthy food are some of the many challenges faced by homeless students that can often affect their ability to live healthy lives. These students are less likely to get a sufficient amount of sleep, to have eaten breakfast, fruits, or vegetables, and to be physically active. They are also more likely to have been diagnosed with asthma and less likely to have been to the doctor or dentist. These factors can make it difficult for students to stay healthy, attend school regularly, and focus on their learning.
