IYI’s College & Career Readiness Initiative is offering capacity-building grants to help Indiana youth-serving nonprofits grow and strengthen their college and career readiness programs. 

 

College & career readiness prepares young people of all ages and settings to thrive beyond high school. It goes
beyond academics to include career exploration, social-emotional growth, essential skills like communication,
collaboration, adaptability, and problem-solving, as well as access to supportive networks and resources. This
grant opportunity is open to programs serving youth
ages 5-24.
Three (3) organizations statewide will receive
services valued at
more than $6,000 per organization
to fulfill their efforts to support college & career readiness
for the youth they serve through
:

  • Forty (40) hours of thought partnership with a consultant from IYI’s pool to develop or expand college &
    career-focused work or programming.
    Possible service areas include:
    • Strategic Planning 
    • Program Development 
    • Mentoring Program Development 
    • Needs Assessment 
    • Board Development 
    • Sustainability Planning 
    • Evaluation 
    • School & Community Impact

Eligibility Requirements

  • Projects must support work related to college & career initiatives and programs for youth. 
  • Grantees must be an Indiana-based 501(c)(3) youth-serving nonprofit organization. Programs serving youth ages
    5-24 are welcome to apply.
     
  • Three (3) grants will be awarded. 

 

Application Timeline & Access

  • Application Open: Oct. 1, 2025
  • Application Closes: Nov. 14, 2025
  • Award Notification: Dec. 13, 2025
  • Project Start Date: Jan. 16, 2026
